Cheers to Productivity!!!

Hello!

I apologize for posting very late today. I got caught up with running errands a while ago.

So lately, I’ve gotten more productive than usual. I noticed that I’ve been checking off many things on my to do list more. I think that it might have something to do with trying to rush things that I have to do before the deadline or because I’ve had more time on my hands lately to be able to accomplish things.

While ticking of my to do list for the past two weeks now, I’ve felt that I may be doing something this week that I wasn’t really keeping up with consistently for the past few weeks or months.

First of all, I’ve been trying to consult my planner more and I’ve been trying to write everything down that I have to do. I think that by doing this, I’m holding myself more accountable for my actions and at the same time, I’m more able to see my progress and see my deadlines. I’m also better able to plan my days because I’ve also put some order in writing down my to do list for different aspects in my life.

A new thing that I’ve been doing as well is that I also write a to do list on my phone for when I’m in a hurry and I can’t consult my planner. I think that it upped my productivity a bit because I don’t easily forget things now. This also helped me be responsible in my shopping because I also list down things that I need to buy just so that I could keep track on what I really need versus things that I just want but not necessarily need.

I’ve also started using my phone’s calendar because it’s also another way for me to know deadlines and other things I need to do if I don’t have my planner with me or if I’m in a hurry and I don’t have time to take out my planner.

I think that the combination of these three things greatly improved my productivity. Also, what’s great about them is that they’re so simple to do because I only need my planner and my phone.

I think that that’s all for now, bye!

What I Do To Lessen Stress

Hello!

So lately, I have been able to manage my stress quite well (at least, that’s what I think). This is quite a feat for me because I am the type of person who worries a lot and who gets stressed out so easily even with little things.

So for this post, I would like to share how I am able to manage my stress. Take note that I’m not really an expert on this because I still get really stressed out once in a while. However, I’d just like to share some of the things I’ve been doing lately that helped me.

Better School Year Ahead

Photo taken from Google Images.

Hello!

As I’m writing this, I’m done with my summer classes and I’m waiting for my grades to come out. I’ve taken summer classes ever since I was a freshman in college because I wanted to be able to graduate early or at least to lessen my load for my last semester. I usually take one or two classes depending on how much load the classes have.

So recently, I noticed that even if I was trying really hard to be more organized and not procrastinate, I still end up not being able to do it. I still end up studying so close to the exam date and losing a lot of time doing things that aren’t at all related to school. Upon realizing this, I think that I really need to have more self-control.

I decided to post this realization in hopes that maybe I can also help some of you who read this to come with me on this journey to being someone who has self-control.

Bringing Back the Eye of the Tiger

Photo taken from Google Images.

Hello!

So the Holy Week break had just passed and now I have to go back to school. I had to adjust again to going back because during the break, I was able to feel like I was on a mini vacation with no worries and just being able to laze around.

I found it difficult to adjust again because I was away during most of the break. My family and I went to our province for most of the week. There, I did a lot of sleeping and eating and not much of studying. I kind of regretted that decision towards the end because I realized that I had a lot of things to do and because I didn’t spread my work during the week, it left me only a few days to work on everything that I needed to accomplish. On top of that, I also lacked motivation to study and go back to school because I felt that the break went by so fast and I felt like I didn’t want it to end because I had already grown accustomed to that mentality of waking up later and lounging around.

To help me get my focus back, I tried to do a couple of things that I knew from my previous experiences would work. I’d like to share them with you in case you’re still feeling or you usually feel like how I felt whenever you have a break and then you have to resume school after.

Ms. Thrifty

Hello!

So first of all, I’m so sorry for uploading late this week. I was away for a short vacation and I wasn’t able to write for the week. But it’s better late than never right?

Now… moving on to what I actually want to write about this week…

So lately… I have been trying to spend less money. I started this because I noticed that I have been spending a lot and sometimes, the things I spend on are not exactly things that I would need. There would be times when I feel like I have accumulated a lot of things that I don’t exactly use a lot of times but then when I look at my purse I would notice that I don’t exactly have a lot of money.

So these past few weeks… I am trying to spend less by following certain techniques that I found online and some techniques that I learned in one of my psychology class.

Little Rays of Sunshine

Hello! So there are lots of people who are what we usually call pessimistic. These pessimists often think negatively even before something begins, kind of like they were expecting it to go negatively even before it begins. I used to be one of them. I used to not expect so much from certain things, people, or even events in my life. Sometimes, I felt like I just had to do things to get through them.

But I realized that when I feel or think that way, I’m kind of setting myself up for failure. I realized that it seems like I’ve given up before I even tried and that’s just not the right way to go about things in life because one of the things I’ve learned is that in life, you have to keep encouraging yourself not to give up when the going gets tough because that would lead you to a life full of constant failure and misery.

Back to School Goals and Tips

Photo taken from Google Images.

Hello! So it’s back to school time (but some of you may already have gone back to school a few days or even a week ago). Since it’s a new year and a new semester for me I decided to think of ways to improve my school experience for the coming semester and the future semesters to come.

I have been trying to do this ever since I came to college (and I think even before that) but similar to my previous new year’s resolutions, I have difficulty in following through with them. But since this year I tried something new which is actively trying to make these resolutions happen, I decided why not keep making these goals to improve myself which, of course, includes improving my study habits and all things related to my school experience. Plus, when I think about it, these goals and ways to improve myself is somehow part of my resolutions. I guess they are just a bit more specific.
