January Favorites - Beauty and Skin Care Products

Hello! So it’s now February… I feel that the latter half of January flew by so fast. I had a lot of things that I had to do that I felt that I was already starting to fail at my new year’s resolutions, which by the way I’m still trying to follow.

So throughout January I was able to buy or receive quite a few things that I wanted to try. I used to not like buying clothes and anything related to beauty or skin care but towards the end of last year until now I kind of started liking them.

So throughout the latter part of December to the whole of January these are the beauty and skin care products that I have loved.

Nivea Essential Care lip balm

I bought this lip balm because during the earlier parts of January, my lips were a bit chapped. I was so bothered by that because I used to just try to remove those chapped bits by trying to peel off the skin with my teeth but since I now have braces, I can’t do that. Also, I realized that whenever I tried to remove the chapped skin, my lips would sometimes bleed.

So this year, I realized that maybe I should give lip balms a try because I know that they could help moisturize the lips. I used to not like putting on lip balms because I didn’t like how they felt on my lips. But with the Nivea Essential Care lip balm, it’s not as thick in consistency as petroleum jelly and it’s not flavored or colored so I think it has fewer chemicals on it.

I love it so much that I’m planning to buy their other lip balm range but this time I might try their flavored ones because those have color and I can use them whenever I’m out and I want a bit of color on my lips.

Human Nature 100% Natural Sunflower Beauty Oil

I didn’t buy this product. I saw it among my mom’s beauty products and I remembered that she told me that a bit of sunflower oil could help me with my problems with pimples and acne. So I asked her if I could have some and she gave it to me.

I’ve been using it since the latter part of December and I noticed that since I started using it, the amount of pimples and acne that I have was reduced but I must admit that there’s still a lot because I am one of those people that doesn’t really have a healthy lifestyle or diet and I get stressed so easily.

Going back to the product… I also noticed that it helped lighten the marks left by some of the pimples and acne and it helped lighten my under-eye area.

For other things you can use the sunflower oil for, they have a list at the back to help.

Besides those two new products that I’ve tried, I have an essential skin care product that I would really like to recommend.

Dove Beauty Bar – Sensitive

I have been using this product for a long time now because I have sensitive skin. I don’t really use a lot of scented soap because sometimes they’re so strong that my skin gets dry or my skin has like an allergic reaction.

This product, to me, is perfect because it leaves my skin so soft and moisturized that it’s okay even if I don’t put on lotion – which I have a tendency to do because I’m lazy and there are days that I don’t like the feel of lotion on my skin because I feel that I’m so sticky.

These are the products that I have loved throughout January. I don’t have a lot to recommend because I’m still starting out exploring beauty and skin care products but if you want to recommend something for me you can comment below so that you can share what you know to people like me who are only starting to explore beauty and skin care.
